Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | There is truth in this. When you do a copy to card, the information is still retained for a certain time period. That means if you did a copy to card and then lost the card before you got it to the computer for processing, you would have some time to redo it with a new card. For this reason, I never did a copy to card unless I planned on taking the card to the computer and copying the file(s) to the hard drive right away. This is not a well known fact because it is not good practice to count on this and somewhat encourages sloppiness. As I recall there are two places where the copy to card can be instigated. I believe one retains the information for a while but the other does delete it right away.
Although this is true, I believe it only refers to "current data" and deleting former years would free up memory space. The newer Integra and InCommands use a different arrangement with the data.
