I think you'll be fine. Unless you're milking cows, I really don't think it's that important to harvest silage at the most optimum of stages, imo. As long as it still ensiles, you shouldn't be sacrificing that much quality. I'm sure someone will be along to argue with me shortly, but I think too many of us are into splitting way too many hairs when it comes to our farming practices.
