Spreading on top of ground now - what is the temp there? how stable is it? Guess I'm wondering how much is being lost?
Honestly not sure on soil temp I have for last few years reapplied nitrogen on pastures used in fall to give the fescue a good bump. My goal is always to have enough grass to never lock my stockers in the lot before I sell yearlings in late January but usually snow dictates that for me.
The texture of this urea is so much finer than regular prills that I feel it takes much less rain to get it in the ground and dissolved.
But yes I do put a healthy dose on their shoot for around 80 lb actual N just in case some volatizes
