SESD | Planted some new alfalfa this last week. About a month later than I would have preferred, but wet weather postponed it. The fields have been worked and not much for residue. I rolled the fields yesterday and was thinking that it may be a problem over the winter for blowing. Would it be a good idea to spread some oats or something that will get established a little quicker to help protect the ground? I just think the alfalfa won't have much growing by the time winter hits. | |
