Subject: RE: Bar-Bar-A vs. Cobbett waterer

North West MO
We have 6 Cobett waterers. 3 are hoked up to rule water and 3 are below ponds. The oldest one I have is 18 years old. I’ve never spent a minute working on it. The only one I have worked on is one that is below a pond and a cow got her leg down in it and broke off the valve. That’s it out of all 6 of them that’s the only one I’ve ever worked on. It’s important to read the instructions on putting one in. You only want about a foot and a half sticking up out of the ground. Important to get as much ground heat as possible. Below zero windy cold nights you might have a little ice on top of it. Just break the ice in the morning and you’re good to go the rest the day. Best part about these waters there simple.
