Subject: Feeding field peas

Howdy. Anyone fed yellow or green peas? I’m kinda looking for a way out of alfalfa for a protein source. I’m elergic to it and iv seen it as high as 220/ton this year. Simply had enough. Iv been looking into peas. Seen there up to 28-30 protein and energy around the same energy as corn. That kills two birds in one stone. Trying to build a ration consisting of ground corn stalks and peas. Just a simple lactation/last stages of pregnancy ration for sheep. I’m in NE Colorado so I know peas are grown to the north of us. But can’t get it out of anyone exactly what elevator might carry them. Any thought or ideas on this??
