Can a guy pull a wage off a barn if we built a few 2400hd barns again now days?

A few 2400 head barns is going to take more labor than 1 guy to wash, sort, load, pull deads, treat sicks, ect. and several million $$ investment.

Other experienced hog guys have already mentioned , constant changing industry , poor ROI , depreciating asset, ect..... The right contract, healthy pigs and it can work too....

Just speaking for myself as I am near the end 'its a constant battle of something with all livestock' you really need 100% commitment from u and your family as once building is up u cannot just sell it off like a piece of land.....For us from '75- '05 it was pretty good , since then its a job that pays the bills.....a good barn 'here' , sandwich wall, power ventilated is $500+ head cdn.
