I did that with a 16 row planter a few times. I Didn't see much difference, (the big thing was maybe I didn't get the right two hybrids for matching up) but they combined so differently I had to pick one variety first and then come back and do the other one. The combine setting needed to do a good job was just too different to keep up with changing back and forth each pass.
Does it help to split planter with diff hybrids?
