This bring up a subject that an old time farmer told me many years ago. He said to plant your rows north/south so the sun would shine on both sides of the row. What are your thoughts on this idea ?

I always wondered if that was true ? Makes sense to me, but I never tested that theory. I prefer to plant the long straight rows.
