live in Spfd, farm located NW Macoupin county | Recently bought an L8000 Ford with the 7.8L diesel. It is not a speed demon but but seems to do fine at 2 lane highway and country road speeds. Especially since putting the 10 speed in it. Originally had a 6 and that was too big of a jump between gears. Hauling 600+ bushels of corn.
Like others have said, look for a diesel motor. |
