The use of the word regenerative to describe an approach to agriculture has an interesting history.

Bob Rodale (organic industry pioneer) coined the term as an alternative to "organic" in the 1980s.

Bob's father JI Rodale is generally recognized as the individual who did the most to popularize the concept of ORGANIC in the US so it is noteworthy that his son who played a key role in launching scientific investigation of organic farming systems was not satisfied with the term "organic".
