| I hear and believe that we lost bushels from this corn crop over the last month and because of the wind storm and dry weather. My question is what was the potential crop size the day before the derecho? I venture to guess national average with set at 192 at the time or a 16 billion bushel crop. If we lost 800 million bushels of corn or 10 bushels an acre off the national yield we would still have have huge loss in bushells. But the end game is we still end up with a 182 national average and a 15.2 billion bushel crop. Substitute a few numbers here or there or drop 2 more bushels and we still have too much corn. The trolls will follow on this thread ad nauseum but who cares.
