Display could be in basic mode.
Press - Back
Press - Toolbox
Press - Display
two modes
Basic - does not look for USB or record data
Advanced - records data to USB
Look for card symbol in the white boxes.
No card symbol = basic mode
Card symbol with yellow or grey background = advanced mode and something is wrong with card/screen
Card symbol with white background = advanced mode and everything is ok in USB card land.
