Bunker Hill, IL | Has anyone done or seen much work with comparing all the different options for applying UAN sidedress? I'm mainly interested in deciding how to apply using a Hagie. There are a few options similar to Y-drops(expensive equipment), there are straight drop-hoses(already set up&cheapest investment, fastest app., and easy to switch over), there is the NTB coulter-injection option(much slower, perhaps the best?), and there are probably others I don't even know about.
I'm just after yield results from side-by-side type comparisons of different application methods. I'm planning to do it most years around V4-V5 and apply around 2/3 of our total N this way. The first 1/3 will be split between burndown pass and the planter 2x2x2 openers. | |
