southern MN
A couple years ago I had the well guys bring in a boring company and bored the new thick blue type water line 500 or so feet, it went from near my well down to a pit near the barn. Between buildings, a few trees, a retaining wall, 2 tile lines, 2 electric lines.

I don’t remember what it cost. At all.

I am a very happy person from the experience.

I’d really, really think about spending some dollars on boring outfit. They used a 1.5 inch pipe, but the well guy was very surprised when he tapped into the lime he had installed a few years before, it was only a 1 inch line to draw from.

A couple years before, they put in a new well. He had to connect the well to the old well pit. He said thry could bore straight across for 30 feet, or they could dig with the backhoe for 60 feet to get around the tree, building, and so forth and running twice the length of wire and pipe and the mess of diggging an open trench, it was up to me the price of those two options was within 10% of each other. So that was my first exposure to boring.
