SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Had a neighbor 20 years ago, that used to plant corn and soybeans in alternating rows. He had the old JD flex 71 units so you could do that. and chop them all at the same time and said he had the perfect feed. No added protein needed minerals pretty well balanced all he had to add was salt. I also planted some with sudax and then windowed that as an experiment didn't do much of that went back to the corn and beans. this was back in the day when you could use roundup on either weren't and keep a clean field so it worked pretty good. I was just thinking with a Kemper head in the modern central field planter that might work pretty good now. I don't have any cattle anymore I got out of the dairy but I just got to thinking about him and doing that this morning when seeing all the silage pictures. I do remember his cattle always looked exceptionally nice. He had beef and dairy and hogs and chickens and Sheep and everything on God's green earth
