I planted clover with wheat last year around the first part of September because I wanted clover in my wheat silage but my Clover didn't come very well until the wheat was cut. In my experience if you're not keeping the Clover after the Rye not sure it's worth your money to add it
Same here. HERE, the clover doesn't come until after the wheat is off. The clover is there for a cover crop after wheat and N fixation for corn the following spring. Id we got more rain it might be a totally different story
