NC Iowa | there happens to be a dive shop somewhat close so i called them about getting my nasds certification transferred to a padi, and getting re certified. seems that it is relativity easy. main problem is that due to the virus, the pool that they use at the 'Y', has been closed since march and no sign of reopening anytime soon. they put my name on a list and will notify me it that pool opens up, or they find some other pool that is open, and halfway affordable.
i am kind of excited about diving again, as i really enjoyed it. a diving trip somewhere next winter is in my plans if i can get the training completed by then. the quarry they train in has very cold water. will looking into renting a wetsuit, as i hope to go somewhere with a tropical climate. i know the water at hawaii was very pleasant.
if you don't mind, John, could i contact you sometime to get some ideas and tips for some entry level dive trips that are convenient?
