EC SoDak | Personally, I think for yield and such at least, the USDA gets pretty close. In a general sense, I know roughly how my yields are vs the rest of the county/surrounding area So, when the USDA releases it’s county level yields for a typical year, I already have a pretty good idea of what it will be and they tend to be close to that number. To me, that tells me they have it dialed in pretty good considering. As for carryout and what not, I’d have no idea. I don’t carry crop in my bins into the next harvest so I’d be a zero. | |
