Nebraska aka the boondocks
In 2016s Nebraska “non event ear drop at harvest,” estimates were as high as 200 million bushels of ears on the ground. Some fields dropped 140 bushel an acre, a month later they raised Nebraska yield 2 bushel. I did make many calls inquiring how it was accounted for, it wasn’t. So to answer your question, they will now and they will do whatever their formula tells them later. On the other hand, maybe the magic 300 million bushels will disappear.
