I have a Westfield 8-61 that we want to use to take dry corn away from a farm fans 190 dryer on continuous flow we would like the half speed kit but the dealer thinks we need a 20 horse electric motor I don’t think we need one that big because it would be geared down I only have 1ph also so I don’t think I could run one that big just wondering if others have a kit and what size motors you run

How many bushels per hour do you think the auger needs to handle. 400? A 5 hp motor would run that auger geared down. Pretty sure we can run more through our continuous flow Vertec than that Farm Fan will be capable of. Run a geared down 7" x 51' auger with a 2 HP motor.
