western iowa,by Denison | Did a cigar test last 2 days to check out the air flow-think someone commented about not adding the overhang-anyhow checked it out with a cigar and could visually see that it helped with airflow as it seem to give the air a gentle push out the top vs not have the overhang on-it was a little less air movement with out.
Few pictures and very happy how the project went-we had some help of about 20 hours otherwise Just Adam and myself-lot of days would be drilling and bolting and grk structural screws-think around 700- 1/2 inch carriage bolts,6 large boxes of grk screws and 50# nails-about 3000*# of angle iron brackets-
I don't like air nailers-I will stick 1/2 inch carriage bolts in and grk structural screws. We have put some extra bracing in and the extension over the bunk side doubles as knee braces-which the rafters never called for.
My first everlast stainless steel water-so far impressed-been a fun project of building a different design-and was a little faster building over the other type building-I might have spent more time bolting, and fastening but know the wind loads are different on a mono.
As always Adam did a excellent job on the gates and latch's-The building is 35x112 and has a 1ft overhang on short side with4ft overhang on top side'-think 22ft at the top with 3-12 pitch
