Doesn't help your situation any but my nephew worked swing shift at a tire plant for probably 20 years. I always told him, "Put me on the night shift or the day shift and leave me alone. I don't think I could handle going back and forth for very long." I don't see how people can stand having their schedules completely disrupted every couple of weeks.
