A friend of mine, who fought against the Japanese in the Philippines, was a Captain in the infantry. Even after all those years ago (he was in his 90’s when he passed away) he still couldn’t forgive the Jap military for what they did to his fellow soldiers. The mutilation of dead and living bodies was something he described with great detail to me. He actually cried upon telling about it all. In my opinion, it would take a cruel animal of a man to find joy in doing things like that to foreigners. Of course, I don’t know what all American soldiers might’ve done to Japanese soldiers with similar brutality and evil.
