Actually the 75th anniversary was yesterday.

No doubt in my mind the bombs saved lives. Truman was asked to justify the bombs and his response was how could he face the American people and say that we had a way to win the war and save American lives but we did not do it. I think it is wrong to look back on history and Monday morning quarterback things in today's light.

With all that said I think a person can wonder if using the bombs on a civilian population was justified.

It was August 6th 1945 in the United States.
