NE Iowa | Neighbors have had good luck taking fat cattle to the local NFO location. The cattle go to a Tyson plant in Missouri and sold grade and yield. It is closer than the salebarn and want to give it a try with my next load. Can drop the cattle off on Sunday night or Monday morning. They load the truck to head to Missouri at 2pm Monday. My cattle are on a self feeder and when it is hot I assume they eat more at night. Financially am I better off taking them Sunday afternoon or wait until Monday morning? Sunday is more convenient with my work schedule but could make Monday morning work if it would make me some money. | |
