None of that has anything to do with what the "sustainable" movement is about.
It is just the new term the Green movement uses to push their agenda, which is less farming and ranching in general. They want mother Earth to be "sustainable" which means less humans on it and the outright banning of all fossil fuel use and a ban on all internal combustion engines to start. Then eventually the banning of eating meat and outright ban on any large scale farming. Anything bigger than a community garden on the roof of the high rise they want everyone to live in is too much. All land outside cities should be reclaimed by nature and become "sustainable" on its own.

"Sustainable" can mean whatever to whomever. It's literally just marketing. If people want to buy food that conforms to their definition of "sustainable" who cares? Suppose to be a free country?
Think we all gotta dial back the hyperbole just a tad.
