We have a Cloverdale. Holds 14. Just use it to move bales to driveway. When it's full, it takes weight off the hitch, so it is rather squirrelly on the road. Have it on a 8235r and that's a nice match. Requires a tractor with good hydraulics if your in a hurry. The arm pivot is the weak point. Had it 3 years so far and welded on it a half a dozen times. It's probably moved around 20000 bales. Great company, had issues with hydraulic cylinder a the first year and the owner himself brought new ones to our shop at 7 o'clock at night. A good day it will move 1200 bales
Appreciate the input! I’m looking to build a machine that will move 50k bales or more with minimal repairs needed. The arms on many I’ve looked at are the weak spot followed by the bed rails. A 3/16 thick tube just isn’t going to hold up without finally getting fatigued and cracking. Quite a few not so old movers out there with plates welded on the frames and bed rails.
