| I would not buy it. I have a 260 sitting in my barn right now with a bad drive motor. A new drive motor is half of what the machine is worth. We have had lots of issues and it only has 4500 hours. Blew an excessive amount of hoses all the time once it was off warranty. Drive motor has been out of it more than once. Electrical problems, had the dash replaced, sticky relays wrecking starters, fix one leak and 2 more start, and much more. We have had good luck with john deere equipment but this thing was a bad bad lemon and we did not abuse it. These machines were john deeres first attempt at building a skid steer. I really liked the machines power and balance but it always had something wrong with it. The 300 series is better I hear but I'm scared to buy another JD skid steer. I bought a bobcat S300 to replace it. | |
