their help seems to always get a bunch of skills and move on.
Sounds like they need to up the pay to keep the good help. People will only work so long for minimal wages and benefits before they figure out the grass is better in another pasture. I know several guys that struggle to keep help hired at $12-15/hr. For welders it is difficult to keep them around for $20/hr while $25/hr will keep most happy with modest benefits.
Good welder gets $35 "here". Production is $27
