Lincoln County. NC | There’s actually 3 bottom rollers, or was. The original roller used metric (.98”) bearings and flywheel. That changed to a roller that used 1” bearings and a 1” bore flywheel. After a while they figured out the 1” bearings were inadequate and went to a roll using 1.125” bearings but retained the 1” bore flywheel. IIRC the rollers you can buy today have 1.125” bearings and either metric or 1” shaft diameter for the flywheel and either comes bare or in a kit with bearings, flanges, side frames to accommodate the larger bearings. The metric flywheel may well be obsolete. The upper apron uses the same progression of parts with a plain steel pulley with either a .98” or 1.00” bore depending on build date. The metric stuff was only used for a very few years of 500 series baler production.
I know you didn’t ask about the roller, but bottom line, if you have metric or 1” bearings on a drive roller you need to update to 1.125” bearings & roller or get a machine shop to fix you up.
