Fontanelle, IA
We look good here, Doathlon. But I think along your same train of thought. Maybe I suffer persistent pessimism disorder.....

We are living from rain to rain and dew to dew. We are about 10 inches behind normal. We need decent moisture from here on out to capture potential and mobilize yield into kernels and pods. Our 10 day forecast has only 40 percents On 3 days with temps cranking up into mid to upper 80’s. After 4 days of cool, we are Or will be accelerating again through grain fill.

This is backyarditis. Many parts of IA can run the distance now through harvest with no rain. We simply can’t “here”

If models are predicting such a massive crop, shouldn’t we be in the $2’s for board price? Huge crop, heat advanced 2020 harvest sooner, Covid demand destruction, ethanol sucks, exports suck, IL and Mississippi River barge traffic slowing....
