Subject: RE: chopping/nonchoping stalks

I have an 893 with Calmer parts on it and NDY stalk stompers. I do not run the head real low. I like how the Calmer parts help reduce MOG intake. Stalk stompers lay the stalks down so they break down better and do not interfere with either no tilling or harvesting beans the following year.

I have not run a 600 series head but my opinion is a nonchopping head with stompers would be best.
