We try to hit our chopped stalks in the fall with a vertical till (excellerator). Especially if it’s flatter ground. Our rolling drier ground we can get away with doing nothing after the chopping heads. We used to turn them off for notill soybeans and it worked good but we now have one older head that we can’t turn off so we leave them all on.
