Subject: RE: chopping/nonchoping stalks

Southeast WI
That's a mouthful but correct. My 693 head is a fancier 643 with the plastic, and with good rolls, tips run just off ground, it leaves the perfect amt of residue on the soil and short stalks left don't mess with the planting or strip till equipment where I strip. Chopping is not an advantage most of the time in our northern climes.
