I learned this from a guy that writes investment letters for a living. He said the best thing to do financially is make the few big decisions in life correctly. Rest is details. However, that doesn't mean spending money you don't have or can't reasonably be making. Some of the old farmers had nothing to start, and that really means nothing, except the labor of their own hands. We should respect them, and learn the principles, not necessarily the exact actions they undertook. It was a different time,

I agree. Make a few big decisions that work out and the rest come a little easier. I have seen many people in life obsessed over pennies and totally miss big opportunities. I have watched people scrimp and save when it was totally unnecessary and they gave up so much because they didn’t think they could afford things. To each his own. I work so I can enjoy when I am not working. My grandmother would have been proud of fry’s ice trays! |
