Central Il Morton

Alternator locked up on my Cummins 8.9 L engine on my Motor Home. Had to be toed to local Freightliner dealer.

i knew it wouldn’t be cheap but nothing like this.

New alternator, one idler and belt.   $2400. +. Included new bolt kit for putting drive shaft back on. Seems they won’t install with out new bolts.
9 hrs labor because they  have to remove fan drive gear box to access alternator. Does not include toeing which is covered by insurance.

lesson learned. Should have had it towed to my shop and done it myself. Would have taken me a day but pretty good wages.
