sw ontario
But look at the 'free market' US systems with how many 'whole herd buy outs' , gov't payments & still a pile of family sized dairy either quitting or being forced out with no market .......... jmho but farming has become a 'mature industry' , not ebough customers to 'grow demand' & for livestock, dairy ,chickens and the processing plants they all(the big ones) survive on the backs of immigrant, low paid workers.....not many larger family farms anymore want to milk there own cows, gather there own eggs or farrow-feed-power wash the barns.......AND supply management can be argued many ways and both thoughts can be right....IDK were it will end or the future of farming for many
