If you Google "glyphosate on wheat grown for seed" you will find lots of info. Basically, beachfarmer is correct, it shouldn't hurt as long as you don't spray too early. But if field is ripening unevenly, chances are good you will hurt germ on a portion of the bushels.
IMO, if the wheat is maturing evenly enough to get the timing correct, you probably don't need the glyphosate anyway, unless you have a lot of grass you want to kill. And if the field is ripening unevenly, it will be difficult to time the glyphosate to not hurt the overall germ.
I most certainly am talking about fully mature heads
You cant kill it while its still growing without adverse effects. |
