Subject: Wheat Insecticide- Seed treatment vs Sprayed after emergence

West-Central Missouri
In the past I have purchased wheat seed with insecticide on seed. Would I be better off just using fungicide and saving the $8.00 or so per acre. Then spraying with Affinity and insecticide at 1-2 leaf or does the seed treatment last longer. This wheat would be planted Oct. 1-20 My main concern is Bird Cherry Oat Aphids spread Barley Yellow dwarf virus at that point. But also want to stop aphids in general. If I spray the affinity then, is there a good residual to add for marestail? Wild garlic?
