Subject: RE: Selling Corn in the Wheat Pit

Ridgway, IL
We started selling wheat with this idea shortly after covid really cranked up. We are now gearing up to plant a lot of wheat acres in about 2 months.

We have actually been penciling on unconventional places we could plant more wheat. Anything that could raise 40 bu double crop beans or better is a viable candidate in our area, and more profitable than corn. Normal double crop yields for us, would be 50-55bpa. So you could imagine it opens up quite a few possibles

With wn21 at a near 2.00 premium to cz21, and world stocks what they are, and what looks like an early’ish corn harvest from all the summer heat, We are thinking there will be a big spike in wheat acres. And I believe we will see a return to large futures carries.
