Subject: RE: Is a Global food disaster forming in China?

central illinois
Yes we produce raw commodities... corn and soy are same in South America USA or China .... unfortunately the currency isn’t the same ... input costs aren’t the same even for guys in South Dakota as they are in Illinois... so if corn here in central Illinois is worth 3$ and it takes 3$ to get it to China that’s 6$ and if China is auctioning corn that has been in government storage for god knows how long for 8$ and buying our 6$ corn.... that means someone is pocketing 2$ .... so if a bushel of corn is same in China as USA that
Means corn in the USA should be worth 5$.... my point? Everyone says we raise a commodity and it is the same everywhere therefore we should expect 3$ 2$ 1$ corn I suspect the same people that are saying that are the same people that are skimming .25c off somewhere as a middle man...
