Anamoose, ND | Started wheat harvest today with our FD70. I went through a spot with some green straw and did not get slowed down fast enough. Header never plugged but soon after it seemed like the feeder house was back feeding. After looking and taking head off we noticed the timing of the tines on the rotating drum was off. I remember that on the right hand end of the auger behind the access panel was mechanism that set the timing. I loosened the 1/2” (3/4” wrench) bolt and pried up on the linkage inside, the tines and linkage rotated around and now the timing looks correct again. Do I need to do anything on the opposite end of the drum? I had done some work to the reversing mechanism last season and I am guessing I did not get the bolt on the right hand side tight enough. When I pushed the machine too hard the mechanism rotated causing the tines to not be in time. Is this as simple of a fix as torquing down the 1/2” hardware? Thanks
