I'll try to get enough photo editing done in the evenings to get something bigger posted on here soon. Very little restrictions on anything, you are going to the part of the world where the Kung Flu stupidity is minimal. We were in one gas station and maybe two other stores that said "masks required" but that's about it. Restaurants, bars, etc all no problem. Some government-owned indoors things like the Jewel Caves and the Minuteman missile complex are closed.
A few quick things: Honestly, I thought Yellowstone was overrated. Granted, we were all tired by then and it was kind of an afterthought but decided to make a quick push over there because it was only three more hours of driving. Had a more enjoyable time in Custer and the Badlands, with less crowds of people. But hey, we saw it. If you're looking for places to stay, the Custer (town) area would be great if you can get something there. It's away from most of the gimmicky tourist trap crap, but nice access to Custer park, Spearfish, etc and not very far from Rushmore, Crazy Horse or anything else you might want to see but only for a short time. There's a microbrew/restaurant there that was fantastic, too. Cody is a great place to stay also, wish we could have spent more than one night there. Bear Tooth pass is gorgeous, but it takes some time and a strong stomach lol (Megan was not a fan...) One thing that we didn't get to do was spend basically any time in the museums and stuff, will definitely have to do more of that next time, but the weather was near perfect every day for us so just really focused on the things outdoors.
Agtalker coochief lives not far from the Little Bighorn battlefield, he took us for a nice ride over the canyon downriver. Definitely a highlight for our trip.
