NW IA | Interesting, but I would think there must be some other explanation.
Since eliminating grain and sugar from my diet I have made the comment to my wife that I think I could go without brushing my teeth and not go crazy.
At dental appointments prior to changing my ration the person doing the cleaning always commented on how I must be faithful in brushing etc. because they looked good.
I have always been and still am very regular about brushing etc., could never fall asleep with that gunky feeling in my mouth. But now I just don't get the same icky mouth-feel that I blame on bread and other grain based stuff along with sugar.
I am also of the opinion that sugar kills your teeth from the inside (bloodstream) as much as or more than from the surface.
Any and everything that depends on blood circulation for life and health gets clogged or inflamed by sugar.
One other thing to consider is so-called vegetable oils, nasty stuff. If you aren't free of them and cooking with lard, butter, olive oil etc. that night be a place to look.
