Get a $300 laptop, its cheaper than the software is. Software like SMS and Farmworks don't take a lot of processing power so if you just have a dedicated cheap machine that doesn't have a bunch of other stuff installed on it it will work fine.
The other option is to install Parallels or something similar if you have an Intel based Mac.
Anyone found any Mac OS based Yield Map Software?
