| I’ve got a 13” Westfield MK130-71 plus now but to run it I need one of my big tractors, but since adding another grain cart I need all three big tractors for the carts and a set of wagons.
I have a 1060 Brandt swing auger that has been an excellent auger but wore it out, and considering trading off the Westfield 13” off on another 10x60 Brandt so I can go back to running with my Hydro 70 (70 PTO hp).
It seems my Westfield just hammers so bad at PTO speed so generally only run the tractor 16-1700 RPM, not to mention the grain doors in the back of the semi and straight truck aren’t huge (can’t be enlarged on semi) and my wagons run grain over the sides of the chutes to keep up at PTO speed anyway, so am I going to notice a huge slow down going from running a 13” at day 1/2-2/3 capacity VS a new Brandt (7500ish BPH according to their website) 10x60?
I’m not buying another tractor (at this point) and the 71’ auger is just unnessisarely long and going back to 60’ won’t hurt my feelings at all | |
