Madison Co. Virginia | A local blood drive has been using the IR thermometers to check forehead temps before entry. In April, the temps were consistently normal. In July, everyone was walking in the door with a fever.
The forehead temp is more dependent on the temperature of your parking lot, than it is on the person's body temperature.
The IR temps can only be used to look for anomalies, such as looking for that one person who is several degrees higher than everyone else. Even then, it's a pretty sketchy business. | |
