| I made my 2012 F-450 company truck ride as good as my F-150. I had to. My back wouldn't take the pounding every day and I'd already had back surgery once. I spent a couple of hours making a 1/4" thick plate bolt to the bottom of the rear of the seat frame rails. Then, I took coil springs from a lawn & garden tractor seat and mounted them at the rear under this plate. The seat could then bounce up and down 2 plus inches whenever you hit a bump. The seat rails pivoted at the front and the back of the rails were spring supported. It was amazing how nice the truck rode. I had to do a little creative seat belt work, now that the seat was free, but it was certainly worth it. | |
