E.Central MN | On some online auctions it will show bidder X has the high bid at say $10 and the next bid will have to be $11. If I enter a bid at $11, but bidder X has already placed a max bid of $15 then as soon as I bid it will usually say I was outbid at $11 and tell me I could place another bid. That continues until I bid $16, then I will be the high bidder until someone else places a higher bid. I think that's the issue for the OP, why should anyone get the bid unless they outbid his max bid or its also a live auction where its stated that the onsite bidder gets in first ahead of an online bid. I don't worry about it, I either sit and watch until it's ready to close or just place the bid that I'm willing to pay and if I get it fine, if not then I'm ok with that, too. | |
